I want to express a big heartfelt “THANK YOU”  to all of the nurses for all that you do every. Single. Day. of the year!!

 

Six Nurses Week Facts you may not know

 

  1. National Nurses Week was first officially celebrated in 1982 AND it started from a resolution from nurses in New Mexico thru Congressman Manual Lujan.
  2. Each day of the week celebrates a different nurse specialization.  
  3. Largest human nurse formation in the Philippines.

  1. The Procession of the Lamp in United Kingdom is celebrated on May 12th in honor of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

  1. Remembrance Service for Nightingale
  2. Removing Florence Nightingale from the celebrations   - it ultimately failed.
