Good afternoon everyone,

With our public health COVID response taking most of our nurses time, we are trying to figure out how to ensure that new nurses taking on the TB services receiving training in all areas of TB. To help nurses slow down and ensure that medications are being ordered appropriately and administered without error, we are working with our Pharmacy team in looking at the current processes in place.

One thing mentioned in our last workgroup was putting up a flyer/poster in the medication room with TB Medication information to see if that could be a quick reference when questions arise.

Has anyone seen or created something like this for their med rooms or pharmacy rooms? We were thinking of incorporating the 5 Rights of medication administration, but also reminding them of Standard medications (RIPE or 3HP) vs second line drugs and special dosages for peds.

Any ideas are appreciated!
