Hello NTNC nurses,
Here is a potential webinar that will likely be of interest to most of you!
On Friday, October 22, 2:00--3:00 pm EDT, the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine (DGMQ) will present a Zoom webinar that focuses on the health examinations and referral plans
for Afghan immigrants who came to the United States via Operation Allies Welcome. Specifically, the webinar will focus on the TB examinations at the Safe Haven military bases where Afghan immigrants are now living, and the plans for public health notifications
as the immigrants are being resettled by relief agencies.
The Zoom link follows the signature line below. We encourage you to invite your refugee health coordinators and other health officials who’ll play a role in the ongoing care of Afghan immigrants.
Because a large number of you may be joining the call, the session may not last long enough to answer all your questions. If you would, please send your questions to John Jereb (jxj4@cdc.gov) by Wednesday,
October 20 at 12:00 noon EDT. We’ll share them with the webinar presenters to help in preparing their information.
