This is great news! Congratulations on getting some long deserved assistance. The shortage on Nurses is critical especially in Public Health.
So very happy 😊

Good afternoon! Tuberculosis Control Section (TBCS) is very proud to announce that Ms. Christine Jackson, RN has joined our team as a TB Nurse Consultant effective January 13th. Christine received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Pasco-Hernando State College in 2014 and is currently enrolled in their Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She started her public health journey in 2015 at the Hernando County Health Department and has been the TB nurse at Citrus County Health Department since July 2021. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dachshunds, hiking, practicing yoga, and kayaking Florida’s beautiful springs.  She is very excited to continue her public health career in the TB control section and is looking forward to working with everyone!

Once Christine completes her TBCS onboarding, she will be assigned to cover the North Central Florida and Northeast Florida Consortiums primarily, and will serve as a back-up for other RNC’s as needed for leave coverage. In the meantime, please continue to send help requests from these two regions to the DL TB Nursing Consultants so we can allow her some time to get better acclimated to her new role. I’ve attached our updated RNC coverage map with her contact information. Please note – while she has a cell phone number assigned, she is still awaiting the actual arrival of her cell phone as of today. We anticipate she will receive this in the next day or so. In the meantime, she can be contacted via TEAMS or via email to Christine.Jackson@flhealth.gov if you’d like to contact her directly.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM CHRISTINE!
