Subject: Update: Another New TB Nursing Consultant!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to share another very exciting announcement! The TB Control Section is proud to announce the addition of another new Nursing Consultant to the state office team! Ms. Jennifer Greenlee, RN, BSN joined the TB Control Section February 3rd, 2023. She is originally from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Collin College with her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2014 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University in December 2015.

Mrs. Greenlee has worked as Emergency Room and Observation Floor nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas before relocating back to Florida. She began her journey with the Department working in the TB Program as a Nurse Case Manager at the Pinellas County Health Department in 2017. She was promoted to TB Nursing Supervisor in 2018 and continued to serve her program up until her promotion to Nursing Consultant on February 3rd, 2023.

She also serves as the Shelter Nurse for Pinellas Hope, a homeless organization in Pinellas County Florida on weekends. In her off time, she enjoys knitting, cheering for the Red Sox, and spending family time with her husband and son.

I am overjoyed to be able to share that for now, our TB RNC team is finally complete (until someone else decides to retire)! Stay tuned for other exciting education and training updates coming soon! 😊

Have an awesome week!

Subject: New TB Nursing Consultant
Sensitivity: Confidential

Good afternoon! Tuberculosis Control Section (TBCS) is very proud to announce that Ms. Christine Jackson, RN has joined our team as a TB Nurse Consultant effective January 13th. Christine received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Pasco-Hernando State College in 2014 and is currently enrolled in their Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She started her public health journey in 2015 at the Hernando County Health Department and has been the TB nurse at Citrus County Health Department since July 2021. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dachshunds, hiking, practicing yoga, and kayaking Florida’s beautiful springs.  She is very excited to continue her public health career in the TB control section and is looking forward to working with everyone!

Once Christine completes her TBCS onboarding, she will be assigned to cover the North Central Florida and Northeast Florida Consortiums primarily, and will serve as a back-up for other RNC’s as needed for leave coverage. In the meantime, please continue to send help requests from these two regions to the DL TB Nursing Consultants so we can allow her some time to get better acclimated to her new role. I’ve attached our updated RNC coverage map with her contact information. Please note – while she has a cell phone number assigned, she is still awaiting the actual arrival of her cell phone as of today. We anticipate she will receive this in the next day or so. In the meantime, she can be contacted via TEAMS or via email to Christine.Jackson@flhealth.gov if you’d like to contact her directly.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM CHRISTINE!
