Here are my answers to these questions. J
1. How long have you worked in TB? I have been working with the State DOH for almost 3 years. Before I was a Community health nurse mostly dealing with LTBI for 4 years.
2. What is your biggest stressor working in TB? (Ex. no staff, no training) Currently I am the only TB Nurse Consultant working at the state level. I serve the county nurses and correspondence with the public and clinic providers
regularly. I manage the case data for our ICE facility and DOC. This volume has been increasing over the past year and the follow up is very time consuming. In addition, I get to coordinate TB ECHO (twice a month), and I work on various other state- level
and national-level projects. I constantly feel behind with documenting and reading the newest TB articles.
3. What gives you the most joy from working in TB? Knowing that the work I do to educate and support improves patient care outcomes and provides support to the nurses doing the direct care. I am most joyful when learning and
sharing information with nurses and providers in my state.
Thank you for this invitation to reflect.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a well deserved relaxing weekend.
Recent,y I have been having discussions with many nurses across the TB world and many seem stretched to the limit with little recognition of all that goes into managing TB , yet we are very passionate about our work and love what we do in this unique niche
in nursing.
That has lead me on a fact finding mission and I would like to pose three questions to all of the NTNC members out there.
1. How long have you worked in TB?
2. What is your biggest stressor working in TB? (Ex. no staff, no training)
3. What gives you the most joy from working in TB?
Thanks for assisting me in this inquiry
